Happy Monday -

       What a great week we have a head of us filled with engaging curriculum, What's for Dinner at Rubios, and our Dance-a-Thon!  Thank you in advance for your continued support and dedication to our PTC.  Please continue to drum up donations with your website, email,  through word of mouth or shout it from the roof top!  Please forward the paypal link in your messaging.

TJ needs a CHAMPION!  The Roseville Foundation is a supporter of our Music Program and other programs on our campuses across the district.  There are three meetings a year and they love having teachers present at this meeting.  I will also be in attendance.  The first meeting is this Wednesday at 4:30pm at the district office.  If you are interested in supporting the Foundation and being the link between the Foundation and our TJ staff please let me know.

In order to better inform our RTI, the RTI team and the Leadership team should be informed about grade level RTI practices with the intent of creating a cohesive RTI model.  The RTI Team will be meeting on October 25, 2017 at 3:15-4:15pm in the staff room.   Please complete the following form as a grade level prior to October 24, 2017.   This would be a very effective use of our PLC time, as this information will also inform our PLC meetings.

The Harvest Festival is right around the corner and it is a great event for us to celebrate and interact with our families.  Please see the information below:

Dear Thomas Jefferson Teachers,

This year's Harvest Festival will be held on Thursday, October 26th, 2017 from 5-7 PM.  We are asking for your help with the following:

• Forward attached email to your parent list this week (the sooner the better, we need volunteers and supplies!)
• PARENT EMAIL LINK

• Secure four (4) volunteers per grade to coordinate set up and take down of game booths - sign up genius is on the attached parent email  
• We will have Jr./High School volunteers to work during the event so that all families can enjoy the festivities together
• Distribute the Harvest Festival flyer in the Friday folder on 10/20/2017 (prints will be in your boxes by the evening before, at the latest)
• Participate in a class Scarecrow decorating contest (3rd-5th grades only)
• Details and voting slips/boxes will be placed in your teacher boxes on 10/13/2017

Thank you for your help communicating with the parents and helping find interested volunteers to make this a great event!
