CASSPP FINAL STRETCH!

A HUGE shout out to the 3-5 Team for there hard work in ensuring that CASSPP testing went well and that our STARS did their very best! Make-ups will be concluding in Room 6 all week, so please be respectful around Kimber's classroom if the testing sign is up.  

PLC - Monday, May 21, 2018 - Report Card Prep

Due to the fact that the official Report Card Prep day is June 4, which seems a little late, we will have Report Card Prep on May 21, 2018.  

AQUA SMART ASSEMBLY - Friday, May 25, 2018

9:00 am The K-3 presentation, taught to elementary students across the state, is an interactive puppet show starring "Splasher the Frog." He and his AquaSmart stunt buddies, Joe and Charlie, show children what can happen when you are not safe in and around the water. Safety points such as learning to swim, wearing a life jacket, alcohol, drugs and boating don't mix, looking before you leap and other life-saving lessons are covered. The K-3 program may also be used as a K-6 assembly.

9:45 am The 4-6 program is a multimedia game show format where two teams (each team representing half the audience) compete for prizes for their side of the audience while learning how to stay safe in and around the water.

Assemblies last approximately 35 minutes each.

Social Media Now Available for Staff on RCSD Wireless!

The District’s RCSD wireless network now supports access to social media (Twitter, Facebook, etc.), for all staff and teacher accounts! Simply connect your phone, tablet, or laptop to RCSD, and you will automatically have access to social media feeds and posts.

Reading Summit in Universal City, CA

If you are interested in going to the Scholastic Reading Summit in Universal City, CA on July 17th, there are a limited amount of free registrations.  The Reading Summit features Donalyn Miller (author of The Book Whisperer), Peter Reynolds (Dot, Ish, Happer Dreamer), Pernille Ripp, and more.  While registration would be covered, travel and hotel would not.  Free registration is first come first served.  Please contact Brandon Blom if you are interested.  Here is a link with more information: Scholastic Reading Summit
