Happy Monday Team TJ,

I hope that you all had a wonderful and restful WELL DESERVED break.  It is hard to believe that Christmas is only 4 weeks away and another year has flown by.  This season I have been reminded that I have so much to be thankful for.  In the aftermath of the tragic Camp Fire I have been humbled by the fact that we were able to come back to our school after a break, that our students have a classroom to call their own and that we have each other.  Thomas Jefferson has partnered with Dyer Kelly Elementary School from a penny drive; Pennies for Paradise Schools.  All proceeds will be donated to the Paradise School District.  The coin drive will last for the next couple of weeks and jars will be placed in your boxes tomorrow morning.

PBIS BOOSTER

We will be having our PBIS booster recess on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 2:30.  PLEASE pass out the slips and if you need more turkey slips so your class can earn all of their feathers please stop by the office.  The intent is that EVERY class participate so please saturate the market on safety.

2019-2020 GATE Identification

The 2019-2020 school year GATE identification test will be administered at the District Office for students currently in 2^nd-7^th grade.  The students will take the Otis-Lennon School Ability Test, OLSAT, that tests abstract thinking and reasoning ability.  Students must attend one of the testing dates on the OLSAT Parent Permission Form to complete the testing by the district.  All forms must be returned to the District Office by January 11, 2019, if you would like your student tested. There are no exceptions as materials are ordered based on the number of returned forms. The permission form for the OLSAT assessment can be found HERE.

This year's Tommy Apostolos Fund Holiday Shopping Trip will be held on Satudary, December 1st, 2018, 5:30 a.m.  All it takes is a bit of your time at the Tommy Apostolos Fund Holiday Shopping Trip.  Help a child select warm winter clothing at Kohl's, 10375 Fairway Drive, Roseville. 

If you are planning on coming to the Holiday Shopping Trip, please print this form - Volunteer Form – 2018  - fill it out and bring it with you to Kohl's on Saturday, December 1st.  The form is also attached to this email.

Please note, you must bring your driver’s license (or other photo ID) in with you to the volunteer check-in the morning of the shopping trip. Sorry – no one under 18 is allowed to assist with shopping.
