Happy December!
I am not sure about you but it feels a bit strange to return from Thanksgiving Break with another week of November to wrap up. The month of December has come and there is much to do. It is wonderful to hear signing practice as I walk the campus. There is nothing quite like little voices joyfully singing!
As we prepare for our annual caroling event we will have to make one minor change in our rehearsal schedule. We will have to conduct our run-throughs on the 11th of December and due to the fact that our third-grade team will be off campus on the 12th and that the PTC has had to reschedule the Limo Lunch to the 11th of December.
We will have to begin our run through at 10:05 am, as soon as our PM kinders have joined us.
The risers will be set up Monday night so that the classes can practice walking up the risers and entering the amphitheater. The walkthrough schedule will be shared with you all at the staff meeting.
I will be off campus all day at a District Leadership meeting Tuesday, December 4, 2018. I will be available via email and phone if needed.
Let's have another great week!
Kirsten

DISTRICT WIDE ASSET INVENTORY:
The District will be conducting an inventory of all assets on campuses across the district. Our tentative date for our inventory is December 11, 2018. Please see the inventory below about the inventory process.
In order to support the process, ALL iPads will need to be turned in to the library at the END of the day on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2018.
There will be an area in the library that is taped off by grade level, please place your iPads there. DO NOT REMOVE THE CASES. Tech services will take care of that. Please turn in all iPads and handheld devices that are the district's or school's.
PLEASE with your name and grade level taped to the screen. PLEASE TAPE the post-it to the iPad.
Please see below for further information.

1. Access: This is the most important thing for a successful inventory. We will need access to every room in every building in your school district. We cannot inventory what we cannot see. Our teams do work into the evening since the bulk of the classrooms are inventoried after school is out, as we do not disturb instructional classroom time. We will go in during planning periods, lunch, when children are not present for class. Our team members work individually and can be divided out at multiple sites every day. We want to make sure we don’t have to look for someone to open doors, as this can be time-consuming.
RCI will primarily inventory district-
In order for this process to be successful on your scheduled inventory date, we would appreciate your assistance with the following - again, nearly every request has to do with accessibility:
- Please ask staff to mark any personal equipment/furniture with a "yellow sticky" marked with a large "P" to indicate that it is a personal item.
- Laptops and iPads - Please remind staff that they must be left available during the time RCI is on campus.
- All technology must be visible and accessible to RCI staff
- iPads must have their cases removed - RCI will not remove cases
- Charging carts must be left unlocked or site personnel must be available to unlock for tagging/counting
- Furniture/equipment that is stored in closets or storage containers must be easily accessible to RCI staff.
- Any equipment still in boxes must be removed from the boxes for tagging
- Equipment in Admin offices should be made available (i.e. cameras, camcorders, etc)
- Kitchens and MPR's - Large equipment and furnishings will be inventoried - no consumables nor small wares will be counted
