April 28, 2019

What a wonderful Sunday! The sun is shining, it is not too hot and there is nothing better than sitting in the sun reading a book with the delta breeze flowing!  Can you believe that there are only four weeks of school left?!?

We have a staff meeting on Wednesday, May 1, 2019.  Agenda items will include; EOY events, Articulation, Volunteer Tea and more!  If you have an agenda item you would like to see added to the agenda please email me.

We have so much to do with SO little time.  Let's make every moment count!

We are working on returning registrations!  PLEASE add this to your communication with families:

IF YOU HAVE NOT YET REGISTERED YOUR CHILD(REN) FOR THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR PLEASE DO SO. STAFFING AND TEACHER GRADE LEVEL PLACEMENT ARE DEPENDENT ON ENROLLMENT NUMBERS.

The Roseville City School District is excited to announce new and returning student registration for the 2019-2020 school year began online on January 8th.
Our online registration system is a secure and green process, which allows the Roseville City School District to verify all student demographics, emergency and medical information for your student before the start of the new school year.
We encourage all families to take action and complete the online registration process as soon as possible. If you do not have access to technology, we can help! Just reach out to your student's school, and you can make an appointment to use a school computer to complete the process.

Please check the District website at
for a link to register your student.

THANK YOU,
Kirsten

Over the next two weeks, all Stars will be participating in a PBIS Booster focused on KINDNESS!  The students will be awarded "BEE" Kid tickets for acts of kindness noticed by staff.  If the class is able to collect 50 tickets they will be awarded a popsicle party on Friday, May 10, 2019.

LET’S GIVE KINDNESS A BOOST!

April 29th-May 10th

Please hand these “BEE KIND” tickets out to students when you see:

-Stars using kind words to one another
-Stars standing up for a friend
-Stars taking care of friends who are hurt or sad
-Stars being good citizens (holding doors open for their peers, picking up some extra trash on the playground, etc)

10 tickets = 1 BEE for your flower
5 Bees placed on your flower poster = Popsicles for your class

**Please make sure to use KINDNESS target talk when handing out the tickets and thank the student for the specific behavior they are being awarded for. Still use Starbucks for every other RISE expectation, but when a student is specifically being KIND, please use the tickets that will be in your box.**

We are looking for 100% participation.  The booster will last for 10 days, and only 50 tickets will be needed this time. That’s roughly 5 tickets a day that your kiddos are receiving--totally doable! Let’s hand out those tickets and recognize our kiddos!

Articulation Cards will be delivered to you on the May 1st Staff meeting.  We will create classes during the May 15th staff meeting.

Our Volunteers are such a SHINING Stars and we know that we could not do what we do in our classroom and at school without them!  The Volunteer Tea will be at 8:15 am in the MPR!  If you have not already let your volunteers know please do so!  We will also be putting invitations in your box.

If you are interested in volunteering for our annual Field Day please mark your calendars for Tuesday, May 28, 2019.   Sign-up Genius will be forwarded next week.
