I am not sure how it happened...did I volunteer? Was I recruited? Was I volun-told? But somehow I ended up being the co-chair of my 30th High School Reunion. Last weekend was filled with the Oakmont Homecoming game on Friday and my class reunion on Saturday! WHEW...it was a fun-filled weekend but boy am I glad it is all done!
It is beginning to feel like fall! I am loving the crisp fall air and I am not sure about you but my desire to have pumpkin bread and apple cider has definitely increased! As we enter the LONG month of October please take time for self-care and to appreciate one another. Please check the staffroom for this month's spirit calendar and activities!
Warm Wishes,
Kirsten
Thomas Jefferson AFG Rep NEEDED
Please see the note from Brandon. Thomas Jefferson is the only site without a teacher rep. If you have questions about this committee PLEASE see me. It would be a shame to have our site not represented in this important work.
Good morning Thomas Jefferson teachers,
I wanted to send one last email (I know I said that last week but this is really the last email) to see if anyone from your school site was interested in joining the Elementary Assessment, Feedback, and Grading (AFG) Committee.
Thomas Jefferson is the only site without a rep. We would love for every site to have the opportunity to have a voice in this process, give feedback to the committee, and have a teacher from your site inform staff along the way as the committee makes recommendations to align policies and practices moving forward.
This will be a two-year journey and we will be coming to common agreements around important topics that will impact our system.
Once again here is a document with more details about the Who, What, When, Where, and Why of the AFG Committee.
If you have any questions about the Committee or are interested in joining, please let me know. Happy Friday and I promise this is the last email you will get from me on this for this year :)
Thank you,
Brandon
