Ready Common Core

Now that we are in the swing of things and many of the grade levels have already begun to access Ready Common Core in their instruction - let's dive into the why of this work.

Student Store

 Kristy will be working on the Virtual Student Store next week with a parent volunteer. It will be ready to go the week of Tuesday, Sept. 7th. She will email you with the google sheet link. 

Mr. Jim Day

September 3, 2021, will be Mr. Jim Day! Please plan to be in your seats for Mr. Jim Day by 9:00 am.  A map of seating will be forwarded to you and volunteers and support staff will help with the seating.  The presentation should be no more than 30 minutes.  More to come as we finalize the event early next week. Please wear your spirit wear that day.

Covid Response Update

• We are advertising for parents/guardians/community members to become substitute teachers.

• It is a free permit this year.

• The CBEST is waived this year for most college degrees.

• Beginning on Monday, staff rooms will be closed with the expectation of our instructional assistants who do not have a classroom to eat lunch in.

• This closure ensures that multiple staff members would not have to go home if exposed to COVID.

• Staff is welcome to eat together in other rooms, as long as they are at least 6 feet apart.

• Eating outside would be the best option, but we understand the constraints with lack of space and students out at the same time.

• RTA is aware of the staff room closures.

TPT School Access

We are rapidly approaching the end of our TPT contract.  I have changed the license to a school pool and it is open to all who want to use the licenses.  There are still quite a few left.

District Tech News:

In the upcoming weeks, the Information Systems Technician team will be at sites enrolling staff iPads and Apple TVs into site Apple School Manager (ASM) accounts and Filewave (MDM) to enable future App purchases without two-factor authentication. The enrollment process requires the staff iPad and Apple TV be factory reset. We ask that you please work with your LITE to download or transfer any personal items (i.e. photos, videos, notes, etc.) from the iPad prior to our site visit.

Please have remotes for Apple TVs available and staff iPads charged and passcodes available if there is a passcode lock. Any site purchased apps with available licenses will be re-installed on the device. If there are no licenses available, please work with your principal on purchasing licenses for the apps.

We will also take this opportunity to enroll staff laptops into Filewave (MDM) which will take a couple of minutes with each staff computer to install the application. Please leave your teacher laptop in the room prior to our visit. The Information Systems Technician team will be onsite after instructional hours to enroll the devices, please submit a SchoolDude ticket if you are unable to leave your laptop so we can schedule Filewave enrollment ahead of the site visit.
