Superintendent and School Board Visit
Derk and RCSD Board Members will be visiting the campus on Friday, August 27, 2021, at 9:30 am. There is nothing special that needs to be prepared just be your awesome selves!
PLC
Please review/create your PLC norms over the next couple of weeks. I will be checking in with each PLC in September.
Lunch Room
We are in a groove in the lunchroom.
- Please stay with your students until they enter the lunchroom.
- Please do not send your students into the lunchroom until a lunchroom staff welcomes them in.
Library Update
The Current library schedule will run through this week. There have been some requests to move the library time to the afternoon to better support RTI/Workshop time. Heather is able to make this work. If you have any objections please reach out to Kirsten. There will be new schedules in your box. Please pick your first, second, and third time slots and return it to Heather by Wednesday, August 5, 2021 so we can create the new schedule.
Fire Drill
There will be a fire drill on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. Please begin to prepare your students for this.
Alarms
If you plan to be on campus before 6:30 am, after hours, or on the weekends please be sure to disarm the alarm. If you are here on the weekend please sign in and out on the clipboard in the office. If you do not know your code or need one please let Kristy know.
K-5 Writing Rubrics
Writing Rubrics can be found in the K-5 ELA and Writing Resources folder. These resources can also be found on the Learning Site. The rubrics are the same rubrics that can be found in your shared folders in Otus. Each rubric comes from Lucy Calkins and has been condensed to a T, B, L grading scale. These rubrics are available to be used as a formative grade with pre-on-demand writing as well as a summative grade with the post-on-demand writing.
