Tj Star Report 8/8/2021

8/8/2021

THANK YOU TEAM TJ!

What a wonderful start!  The first two days were amazing and that is because of you!  It was such a pleasure to watch you all welcome ALL of our students with open hearts and smiles after such a weird time in educational dn the world! I also am so very grateful for the collaborative focus on supporting our students that are in need.  I am honored to be a part of a team that supports students and families!

As we transition into our first full week of school, it is important as you build your classroom climate and culture that you also focus on relationships between you and your students and students and students.

Have you tried a circle yet?  If you have not please give it a try this week.  You have Zones of regulation and Second Step as resources to support this work.   Thank you for supporting social-emotional supports for all of our kiddos!

Next week will be a great week indeed with Back to School Night and a full week of rituals and routines!  Thank you for making TJ a great where every Star SHINES Bright!

DUTY Schedule

The link for the Trimester 1 Duty schedule can be found below.  If you do not have afternoon duty the first few days additional support on the primary and upper-grade loops would be GREATLY appreciated!

*Snack Recess Support - this duty will cover restroom breaks and be out there to build relationships with kiddos.

2021-22 Trimester 1 Duty Schedule

We are entering the first full week of school!  We all know the importance of teaching school-wide expectations explicitly to all students in order to ensure success!  This is clearly evident in the first two days in the cafeteria and how our Stars have RISEN to success!

Please ensure that you are teaching the expectations to ALL of your kiddos with a common message.

JAR CART CHARGING STATIONS

We are working on matching the keys to the JAR charts in your classrooms that also need to be matched to the keys that are on your keychains.  I am not sure what happened when the charging carts were re-wired and I am sorry for the inconvenience that this has caused. I know that it is frustrating and we are working as fast as we can.  Now that the first couple of days of school are under our belts we will tackle this task.  We appreciate your flexibility.
