I love nothing more than the smell of freshly sharpened pencils, cutting out laminated name tags and the feeling that I get at the beginning of the school year! Each year brings such promise and hope. Each year brings new opportunities and joy. As we embark in to our new year it is important to look for hidden treasures...the hidden treasures in our kids...the hidden treasures in ourselves and the hidden treasures in our community. I am excited to set out on another adventure with you all and setting our course to greatness!
As you embrace the last few days of summer, please know that the office staff is here to assist you in any way we can. We are currently working hard to sure up our numbers and to schedule our students in classes as soon as possible. The lists that you currently see on PowerSchool are not our final lists. Please refrain from committing pen to paper for those cute little name tags until you hear more.
Our campus is ready to go and Rico and John have done a TOP KNOTCH job preparing the school and it's grounds to welcome our STARS back to school! Please take time to thank them.
I'm happy to report that we are almost finished hiring teachers to fill our vacancies! We would like to welcome new additions to our staff:
- Jen Boyd will be joining the TJ family and will be teaching 4th grade. We are thrilled to have her join us from the Bay area. She comes to us with a wonderful background in ELD instruction and literacy knowledge. I cannot wait to learn from her!
- April Currie will be joining or team...she also be teaching 4th grade! April has been a part of our TJ family as one of our Art Docents and recently received her multiple subjects teaching credential and is ready to bring her passion for education to the kiddos of TJ!
Staff grade level changes:
Steph Sage has moved to second grade and has graciously volunteered to teach the K/1 combination if needed. Thank you...We HEART you, Steph!
There may be future movements in grade levels and I will keep you posted. Thank you for supporting them in their new positions!
