October 23-27, 2017

Thank you so much for being so open in our last staff meeting.  It is when we lead and learn together that we create collective change.  I keep thinking about Teach Like a Pirate and how this book has changed my thinking about taking risks, engaging in change and being open to new ideas.  I also shared this article with the Leadership Team:
Servant Leadership: A Path to High Performance

This article made me think about our school site and how we should engage in both schools of thought when it comes to growing as a school site.  Both notions can also be embraced within our classrooms as we create learners and leaders within our students.

Red Ribbon Week will be observed this week. We will continue to focus on teaching our students to make healthy choices: eating right, exercising and teaming up with friends to make good choices. There will be dress up days as well as teachers may be reading books or doing related activities.
