Dear Staff,
I am thankful for lesson's learned...I have learned this month;
I have learned that:
- Papa Murphy's Pizza should not be in the oven for 30 minutes while I have my nose in a book.
- You should always test your Christmas tree lights before you put them up.
- To view the world through the eyes of a child AT LEAST once a day.
- That my dog Arrow makes a great pillow.
- The rain makes cleanses my heart and soul.
- I AM GRATEFUL FOR ALL OF YOU!
Thank you for your hard work in preparing for and facilitating Parent Teacher Conferences. I know how much time that it takes and your hard work does not go unnoticed! I hope you have a break filled with well deserved rest, family, friends and fun!
Thankfully,
Kirsten

PBIS RESPONSIBILITY BOOSTER
We will be starting our first PBIS Booster
the week that we return from Thanksgiving Break. We will be focusing on our life skill of the
month: RESPONSIBILITY.
Our booster will
end with a hot chocolate party after the holiday read around on December 22.
Each class will
strive to earn 10 marshmallows to add to their cup of hot chocolate that is on
the poster provided. Marshmallows are
earned by the class earning 10 responsibility tickets; and responsibility
tickets are earned by individual students.
Students will earn tickets and submit it to their classroom teacher…once
the class has collected 10 then glue the marshmallow to the poster.
Please take the
time to hand out the responsibility tickets to ALL students who you see are
acting responsibly for themselves, others and our school. The goal is to have the ENTIRE school join
us for the hot chocolate party. (Details
about the party will be shared closer to the date.) The Responsibility Tickets
are in ADDITION to Starbucks.
The posters,
tickets and marshmallows will be placed in your box Friday after school and
will be available for all classroom teachers to share with their classes
Monday, November 27.
If you have any
questions please contact a member of the PBIS team: Dara, Madeline Polly, Kelly, Kimber, or Kirsten
Thank you for
making this PBIS Booster fun and engaging!
PBIS ReTeach!

MEDICAL EMERGENCIES PROTOCOL
I first and foremost want to thank you ALL so very much for your concern and care for all of our students on our campus. We have some students who are medically fragile, whether it be an allergy or other medical diagnosis or an accident on campus. There will be times where emergency personnel will be called to campus and we need clear lines of communication and support from all staff members.
As you are aware there was a medical emergency yesterday on campus where emergency personnel was called. The student is well thanks to the fast response of her care team. This incident has lead to some reflection and a new plan. It was observed that when the fire trucks came on to campus it peaked the interest of students, of course it would and some asked to use the restroom at that time. This added to the situation because we needed to supervise them when we needed to focus on the student in need. I am aware that this was because of lack of communication.
This will lead to the new MEDICAL EMERGENCY PROTOCOL. If there is an medical emergency where emergency personnel is being called to campus the office will call an ALL CALL "Medical Shelter in Place." When this is called please follow the following procedures until the "Medical Shelter in Place" is lifted:
When emergency personnel is off campus the "Medical Shelter in Place" will be lifted via an ALL CALL.
It is important that we respect the confidentiality of all students when situations like this occur and only share the necessary details with families.
