Dear Team TJ!
Thank you for your focus and attention to the data analysis that we completed at our Staff PD and at our PLC on Monday. If your grade level has yet to complete your data form, please do so. The forms can be found HERE.
Vocabulary and it's instruction has been a theme all year. I know that you are all looking at your Benchmark units of study and asking how you can teach vocabulry with in the content areas and how are we expanding our students' word work skills. I am aware that there are many programs and may schools of thought about vocabulary instructional practices. I am wondering...would a program address our issues or would common instructional practices meet our needs? I have been reading and reaching out to peers and still have the same wonder. Here are some articles that I have read that have provoked some thought and have me thinking. I am hoping that these articles will foster some future conversations.

Hello TJ Parents!
Thank you,
Teacher Name
Get your class involved! Pick a theme and ask your parents, see what they can donate. Some examples of basket themes are below. Get creative and have fun! For your help and generosity, we are again, as we have done in the past, offering 1 free ticket to the event ($40 value) per teacher if you donate a class basket! P.S. The ticket comes with 1 free drink ticket as well!! ;) But that’s not all, we are also offering a contest for the Top Baskets! We have 3 categories: Most Creative Basket, Best Theme, and Best Value. The PTC Board will vote and the 3 winners will win something special! So start thinking about what you want to do. I have put a Teacher Basket List up in the Teacher Lounge on the White Board so when you are ready, please write your theme next to your name. We will be putting each Basket Theme Name and Teacher Name in our event program with a description of your baskets. Can’t wait to see what you all come up with! Thank you in advance for your participation! We really appreciate you all! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us!
Thank you!
