One of the Professional Learning Objectives for this year will be defining and creating consistent protocols for data exploration and Star Goal Setting. We will create PLC norms and our work should be aligned with our daily instruction and RTI. Our first exploration of data will be at our staff meeting on September 5 and we will dig deeper into our data, create our norms and create our first Star (Smart) goals for both ELA and Marth on September 14, 2018. One area of focus will also be on the instructional materials that are being used for RTI the should be based on the tier one assessments we are administering. The data should inform the instructor's next steps.

I will be off campus on Wednesday morning, I am having oral surgery. I will play it by ear on my return in the afternoon.
Let's have another great week!

Just some reminders for students being sent to the office for snacks.
- The PTC provided snacks are intended for students who are in need or for the rare occasion that a student has forgotten a snack. Please check with a student before sending them up to the office.
- Students need a pass from the teacher to get a snack; students without a pass will be sent back to recess.
The Student Store Schedule can be found HERE
If you do not see your class on the schedule, I did not have your request. Please review the schedule and let me know if there are changes or where you would like to see your class be added.
Student Store is OPEN!
Independent Study
We are asking families to turn in Independent Study Plans at least 10 school days in advance. If a family comes to you with a request that is less than 10 days, please see Kirsten. Our goal is to create consistency across the school about the Independent Study practices here at TJ. If there are family emergencies we will address this on a case by case basis. We are stressing to families how important it is to have consistent attendance.
