Week of September 24th

Happy Monday!  

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  Thank you all for your thoughtful and hard work setting your SMART goals for the first inquiry cycle.  It was clearly evident that the goals were data-driven and student-centered!  

Please keep in mind that the RTI time should be planned for EVERY child in the class.  Please take a moment to ask yourself, "Is every child receiving thoughtful and targeted instruction during this time?"  Are the task that you are planning pushing a deeper understanding or engaging our students in the Depth of Knowledge framework at high levels?  Depth of Knowledge

iReady Update:

Instruction for ALL students selected including RSP students who were highlighted was turned on in Reading.  Students should be able to start today. Math Instruction will be finalized today and students will be able to start instruction tomorrow.  If you have a student who needs it and does not have technology at home please ensure that it is built into their instructional day; this is a targeted instructional practice for Workshop time.  

Parent Teacher Conference Interpreter Requests

If you have not completed your requests for interpreters for parent teachers conferences please do so ASAP.  We need to confirm that we have the staff to cover these needs and we may need to request non-Spanish interpreters from a third party service.  The interpreter request forms are below:

DANCE-A-THON 

Our Dance-A-Thon is this Friday!  Please continue to promote the fundraiser through emails and communications.  The schedule is below:

4th and 5th 11:05-11:35

SUPPLY USAGE

In the past two weeks we have used 7000 pieces of paper. Please be mindful when copying. At this rate we will run out of paper before the end of the school year. Use journals or writers notebooks if you are able to. Thank you for your help.
