December 21, 2018

Happy Holidays Team TJ!

THANK YOU so much for your flexibility and grace over the last three weeks.  It has been busy and filled with activities and I truly am thankful to you all for bringing such JOY to the lives of our Stars!

As we conclude 2018 and break for the winter holiday, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you that help make Thomas Jefferson an amazing place to be. We are a community with many gifts and talents, which we share daily with one another and most importantly, our students. From the classroom to our playgrounds and all points in-between, our collective efforts to raise the whole child are filled with passion, commitment and a willingness to make decisions that may be hard in the present, but will have a positive and lasting influence in the future for all.

As we enjoy the upcoming holidays, it is my heartfelt wish that each of you receives and returns the seasonal bounty of blessings and good tidings that make these days truly special.

Happy Holidays!
Kirsten

We are reviewing PBIS Teach-To’s the first week back at school.  On the first day back, please review PBIS norms within your classroom.  Then on Wednesday 1/9 and Thursday 1/10, we will facilitate Teach-To’s among the lower and upper grades.  As we’ve done in the past, please decide who is teaching the lesson for that physical location. Also, please ensure that it is the same teacher teaching that lesson on both days at the same location.

In addition to the PBIS Teach-To’s that first week, please re-teach the Zones of Regulation Big Problem/Little Problem with your class.

There will be NO welcome back assembly this year to ensure that there is a day without interruptions to the routine. There will be a short video for you to share with your class from Mrs. Acke about the PBIS expectations. Please plan accordingly. The video will be forwarded to you during the break.

The Teach To Schedule can be found HERE!
