Hello Team TJ! 

I know that I LOVED the cooler weather this weekend.  Our windows have been open all day and the Delta Breeze has been a delight!  The cooler weather has certainly restored my heart and my body.  I am hopeful that this beautiful weather will continue, yet I am a realist and know that we have some-more HOT days to come!  I have been reflecting on our work as we support our kiddos and the MTSS work ahead of us. 
The SSP (Student Support Protocol) Team dipped our toes in the deep pool of the work ahead of use but please know that THOMAS JEFFERSON has been actively engaged in this work for a long time.  We have supported students with our SST process that has had reflection/follow-up meetings with the student in mind.  Thank you for your thoughtful completion of the RFS for our students who have been previously identified and for your collaboration with our PLC for future support of students in need.  If you have a student that needs some PLC Problem Solving please reach out to me prior to your PLC meeting,  I am here help!

The umbrella above demonstrated the need to support the WHOLE student.  Through powerful Tier-One supports we are able to support the Social, Emotional, Behavioral and Academic needs of our students and if are in need of support please reach out to your PLC and to me.  We are better together!

Professional Development - September 13

Our Professional Development Day is this Friday.  The teachers from Brown Elementary will be joining us for the day, this will be a great opportunity to collaborate with another site.  Please see the working agenda HERE.

Assessment Feedback and Grading Committee (AFG)

If you are interested in being a part of the AFG committee please complete the AFG application that was forwarded to you by Brandon.  This is a district committee and there will be representation from across the district.  The application can also be found Here.

Thank you for your support and enthusiasm for the Dance-A-Thon (DAT) Rally.  We are hoping for another successful year as we have the goal to raise $20,000+ to go towards more technology and enrichment for our school.

We need your help with regular promotion, email reminders and talking about it in class with the students. We will send home weekly flyer reminders in the Red Folders.

The Flyer and Pledge sheet with the details for the DAT can be found HERE - DAT Forms.  A big change is that the deadline to turn in money towards the prizes is the day of the DAT on October 4th.  So please remind your parents about this.  Please make sure to collect the pledges and turn them in on time.  

Once we finalize the pledge rewards party schedule, we will let you know.  We look forward to another successful event and appreciate all of your help to make it great!

Please join us on Tuesday, Sept. 10th, from 4:00-7:00 PM for What's for Dinner? Night out at Chick-fil-A. Please sign up if you have not already done so.  It is always such a fun night with our Stars!

PBIS Positive Referrals

PBIS Positive Referrals will be in your box today.  Please highlight wi at least one student a week with a positive referral and they will get a Star Pencil and a positive phone call home from the office.

PTC WISHLIST

The PTC has graciously awarded each classroom teacher $150 in wishlist monies.  Please note that you can shop where you want including Amazon but it MUST be in support of your students in your classroom.
