Good Day Team TJ!

I hope you all had a wonderful three day weekend! The next couple of weeks will be filled with lot's of new learning and will help guide our work in supporting our students.  We will be learning about the new Student Support Protocol, Writer's Workshop, ELD Language Objectives, and Anchor Standards.  This work will take place during our staff meetings, our PD day on September 13 and our Data Team Meetings.  I am excited to learn and lead with you as we continue to focus on student achievement.  

Some members of the PBIS team were able to attend the Trauma-Informed Care professional development at PCOE last week.  This was a wonderful reminder to me about the importance of knowing our students both academically and social-emotionally.  It also reminded me that there is work to be done within myself as I explore my unconscious bias and how I respond to situations.  

As I push myself to explore my biases I am able to be more empathetic and then embrace a growth mindset that can allow me to see multiple solutions.  Food for thought!

DANCE-A-THON

Our PTC Dance-a-Thon will be on October 4, 2019, and our KICK OFF Rallies are THIS FRIDAY!

Grades TK-2 @ 9:00 am

Grades 3-5 @ 9:30 am

It will be a great day!  Wear your Super Hero shirts if you have one! Capes are good too!

Picture Retakes will be on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, please mark your calendars. 

Please mark your calendars for September 10, 2019, for our annual Chick-fil-A PTC fundraiser night!  This evening is a great night when we come together and partner with our PTC to raise some money for our kiddos!  The sign-up sheet is in the staff room on the whiteboard.  Thank you in advance for making this evening special!

The student store cart will be available next week.  

Please coordinate with your Pod mates as to when a good time for the store to be in your Pod for easy scheduling, more about this at the staff meeting.
