Message From Kirsten

Thank you for making last week so fun!  It was wonderful to have a bit of normal back on campus and to see our parent volunteers back on-campus reading to our students.  A special thank you to Madeline and our Student Leader who read to our primary classes.  It was wonderful to see them reading to the littles and the pride that they had in their hearts was truly inspiring.

FIELD TRIPS

Outdoor field trips are permitted at this time.  We predict that there may be changes in protocols after March 11, 2022.  I will keep you posted.  If you are interested in planning an outdoor field trip please reach out to me.

BOOK FAIR

If you would like to set up an e-wallet for parents to donate money towards books for your class, here are the instructions below.  Make sure to also share the link with your parents.  If you have any questions please let me know.  Here are the instructions:

1. Create a Book Fair eWallet before March 7th.
• Go to our Book Fair homepage: https://www.scholastic.com/bf/thomasjeffersonelemsch10
• Click on eWallet “GET STARTED” and then “Create eWallet”
• Sign in or create a teacher account (if you do not have one already with Scholastic).
• Once you create your eWallet account, look for the “Share” button and share your
eWallet link with me at. This will only share the link to donate with me. I will not have access to your personal account information. You can also share your link directly with your classroom list.

Employee Wellness - Spring Incentive

  • Just in time for the spring, SIG will be launching a brand new Grokker incentive so that you may prioritize your wellbeing however it feels best for you!

Whether it's through practicing gratitude, moving your body, eating healthier, or getting a full night's rest -- do what feels best for your wellbeing this spring. As you develop your self-care routine, you'll come to find that taking a little more time for yourself is both enjoyable and rewarding.

(The incentive program is not a challenge. There is no leaderboard. You go at your own pace.)

How does it work? We're glad you asked! Here's what you need to know:
    • Don't have a Grokker account? Create one here.
    • You're already enrolled in the Incentive Plan. That's right! No extra steps are required to participate.
    • Your incentive plan will run from March 7 to April 30, 2022.
    • The more Wellness Minutes you earn, the more variety of prizes you'll have a chance to win!
      • Tier 1: 180 Wellness Minutes
      • Tier 2: 360 Wellness Minutes
      • Tier 3: 540 Wellness Minutes
      • ULTRA: 1,000 Wellness Minutes
    • Earn Wellness Minutes by watching Grokker content, connecting your tracker to your Grokker account, or self-reporting activity not tracked on your device.
    • Random drawings for the winners will take place at the end of April.
    • When there is a Grokker challenge running this spring, you will be able to compete in both the challenge and the incentive program.
Visit your Grokker homepage to track your progress. Let's Get Started!
